Experiencing Art
This album is so beautiful. It’s earthy and transcendent; chill and rhythmic; tribal and ecstatic. All at the same time. I think this is already my favourite Jon Hopkins album. Just amazing and blissful!!! 🎵🎧

Wow. I really loved season 2 of The Rings of Power. It’s so much better than season 1, which I did actually enjoy more on a rewatch. Hmm. I hope we get more soon.
Wow. Dark Matter is a solid 10/10 for me. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole season. Its up there with Severance. I’m happy it’s getting another season and can’t wait for new Severance too. Wow wow wow.
Dark Matter has me hooked. Shall I watch more tonight or watch some more Fleabag? Hmm. I’m totally addicted and spoiled for choice!
I just completed unpacking. What a beautiful game, I loved it! A heartwarming story to make me feel warm and fuzzy
I’ve been using AirPods Pro for a couple of months now and I was immediately impressed.
This morning I’m listening to Songs from the Big Chair, and I’ve never heard it sound as good as this. I’m hearing detail I’ve never heard before. It’s amazing!
Updating categories on aeryn.me - RSS feed updates
Just a heads up for anyone following this blog by RSS. I’m updating and changing, deleting, and re-organising categories on this blog. Which will affect Category RSS feeds. These may break. I’ve already put in some redirects but maybe I missed, or messed some up. Or will do, as this will be ongoing for a little while.
The only feed that is definitely safe is the main site feed, here:
I have two Album Whale lists now.
Life is a Soundtrack &
New Music
Which I will be cross-posting to MB and BS.
Let me know your Album Whale lists
One of these songs (I think it was Emmylou) was put in my Up Next in my Apple Music app and I instantly fell in love.
This kind of music is usually way outside my listening sphere but I think I’ve been Favouriting enough songs from various YouTube lifestyle videos, that the algorithm did me a solid with this band.
This album and Stay Gold have been lifting my spirits in the last few weeks.
The Lion’s Roar by First Aid Kit

I have started a new Album Whale list for New Music. It’s a little blog about music that’s new to me. It’s tempting to make a list about all the music I’ve ever loved (half joking), but I think it’s better to start from this year. I have a few more to add for 2024, then it will be as they come..
Currently on repeat. One of my all time favourite songs. It has this transcendent mix of melancholy and joy. Fix You by Coldplay, from X&Y. 🎵
I just finished watching Manifest. 📺
Wow!
I might have cried quite a few times during the series.
Fun fact. While watching the show, I experienced two very blatant synchronicities / coincidences that blew my mind when they happened. Like seriously intense and undeniable.
One was during season 1 and the other during 2. I was waiting to see if I would get more but I didn’t.
Still, such a strange experience considering the themes of the show. The second one happened during a scene featuring a tarot card.
Anyway. Great show. Poor in places. But far greater than the sum of its parts.
And a lot of very pretty actors 😮💨
Look at him with his sausage roll thumbs
This album Cob Dominos is pure joy on a Saturday morning 🎵. So happy I rediscovered it. It’s been years and I remember all the lyrics! 🤩
I just watched Children of Men (2006). I’ve been wanting to see it a long time. It was such an intense and moving film. Just brilliant. 9/10 🎥
Curation and consumption seem to be intimately connected when being social on the internet.
It’s too easy to get caught up being a rubber necker of some drama or another.
I find time and money invested in curation to be very good for my social health. And can save time later as an added benefit.
Holy moly what a track!
I’m sitting in my local Costa, writing for my new art project and this song1 is moving me so much2. It reminds me of younger days and the sheer joy of music I had at that time, and still have. 🎵
