I just finished watching Manifest. 📺
Wow!
I might have cried quite a few times during the series.
Fun fact. While watching the show, I experienced two very blatant synchronicities / coincidences that blew my mind when they happened. Like seriously intense and undeniable.
One was during season 1 and the other during 2. I was waiting to see if I would get more but I didn’t.
Still, such a strange experience considering the themes of the show. The second one happened during a scene featuring a tarot card.
Anyway. Great show. Poor in places. But far greater than the sum of its parts.
And a lot of very pretty actors 😮💨
Life has been pretty tough going recently. I’m doing my best to look after myself but a lot of the time it just doesn’t seem to be enough.
All I can do is lean in to my spiritual practice. It’s the only thing keeping me sane.
I want to make art but I feel unable to do anything creative.
I’m ok.
I’m sad to see the Gluon app go. Honestly, I don’t much like the official Micro.blog app and find it’s better to just use the website. 🤷♀️
Look at him with his sausage roll thumbs
This album Cob Dominos is pure joy on a Saturday morning 🎵. So happy I rediscovered it. It’s been years and I remember all the lyrics! 🤩
Having just experienced a minor heat wave for the last few days, I’m really enjoying the rain outside and the feeling of freshness that it’s bringing through my open windows.
I’m drinking freshly ground black coffee and writing in my journal and creating a blog post.
It feels cozy. ☕️✍️
I’m trying Reeder for my feeds. Tho I’m still using NetNewsWire. I think it will help me to separate some feeds I follow by app, not just by folder.
Other feedy things I’m trying-
- Following more Twitter, Mastodon accounts
- Following more YouTube channels via SiftRSS (to filter out shorts)
I just watched Children of Men (2006). I’ve been wanting to see it a long time. It was such an intense and moving film. Just brilliant. 9/10 🎥
It’s Saturday morning and I’ve already had a long weekend. I’m tired out. Worth it to spend some quality time with the oldest kid.
I love Micro.blog but sometimes it leans towards chaotic and unexpected.
Someone replied to my blog post by signing into their Bluesky account. But my reply to them was posted to my Bluesky account as a new post and not my hosted website, below their reply.
Very weird and funny. 🤷♀️
Ten minutes by the pond. A soundscape.
Unpacking is such a wholesome game. I’m 75% through and enjoying just taking my time, playing a new level every few weeks.
I love how the story is gently revealing itself.
I’ve been deep in my Lightroom catalog tonight. It’s hard work and tedious sorting through all these files. But I am making headway.
I don’t need AI to do any creating for me, but I would love it to help me sort through and categorise my art work.
I had a really nice day with my oldest kid today. It’s been a long time since we had some quality time together, his life has been in upheaval recently with various things.
We watched a lot of Babylon 5 today.
Curation and consumption seem to be intimately connected when being social on the internet.
It’s too easy to get caught up being a rubber necker of some drama or another.
I find time and money invested in curation to be very good for my social health. And can save time later as an added benefit.
I’m stuck in the bath. Mentally, not physically. 😶🌫️
(The overwhelm and brain fog has been 1000/10 these last few days)
