Sneaking around for quests and a VR
I had a good blast with my eldest on Fortnite tonight. It’s so nice to spend time with him even if we are a few miles apart.
The Zombies LTM is a lot of fun 🎮
I’m really excited for chapter 2 OG Fortnite. It’s my favourite map. A lot of good memories were made on that island 🎮.
Noooo! Sea of Stars left PS Plus. I just sat down for some cozy gaming and was denied 🎮. I think I was getting near the end.
I just completed unpacking. What a beautiful game, I loved it! A heartwarming story to make me feel warm and fuzzy
1006 hours in Fortnite. Just on PS5. On PS4 it was about 400 when I switched console.
Seems like a lot but it probably isn’t. I’ve been playing since OG season 3. 🎮
Updating categories on aeryn.me - RSS feed updates
Just a heads up for anyone following this blog by RSS. I’m updating and changing, deleting, and re-organising categories on this blog. Which will affect Category RSS feeds. These may break. I’ve already put in some redirects but maybe I missed, or messed some up. Or will do, as this will be ongoing for a little while.
The only feed that is definitely safe is the main site feed, here:
Unpacking is such a wholesome game. I’m 75% through and enjoying just taking my time, playing a new level every few weeks.
I love how the story is gently revealing itself.
I really liked Fortnite Season 2 (Ch.5). But I got sick of the grind towards the end, even though it was a shorter season. The quests were too easy to complete and not very interesting. I’d like to see more mini-story lines in the quests like the old days. Last night I was farming XP in creator maps because I couldn’t face dropping into more BR for crumbs. I finally got to level 140 for maximum V-bucks on the battle pass.
I really love Fortnite, but I love to moan about it too. Looking forward to the new season later today, yay!!!!
Also, I have missed playing with my kids recently. 🎮
I played a little bit of Foamstars today. It was a bit too full on for my taste. Couldn’t figure out what was going on half the match. But I’m gonna give it another go with my kids. They can teach me. 🕹️
Fortnite is so sweaty in the holidays.
But I do get a lot of time to play online with the kids. They’re much better than me. But I secured us a scrappy, but deserved Victory Royale this morning.
Gets the blood pumping! 🎮
My 2023 PlayStation Wrap-Up
I do love a bit of Fortnite. Maybe a bit too much. I did play some awesome games in 2023!! But they didn’t really show up here, lol.

✱ I’m about 15 hours through playing Sea of Stars (2023) and it’s just brilliant. It’s one of those games that I can put down for a couple of weeks and forget about it, come back and play with no problems remembering what’s going on, or how to play.
We need more games like this! It just strikes a perfect balance of a good gameplay system worth mastering, whilst keeping it simple. The battle system is so satisfying! The story is pretty good, and it’s a very pretty game.
I don’t know how long it is but I hope there’s plenty more before I complete it, and I’m voting for a sequel. 🎮
