Personal Log
I had a great time today while on a photo walk, discovering a new area of my village I never knew existed.
I’ve been listening to The B52’s tonight. It’s been awesome. I’m surprised how many of these I know 🎵 music.apple.com/gb/playli…
Fortnite OG is quiet and I like that 🎮 youtu.be/5Lf_iFbth…
I’m recovering data (mainly photos) from an old 2008 iMac for a family member. It was supposedly bricked, but it booted up just fine.
I’m copying it all to a flash drive and it’s gonnna take many hours. Then I’ll see if I can convert/restore the Photos.app libraries on my own machine.
I really need to see the 2017 season of Twin Peaks. And the 2014 Twin Peaks film too.
I might as well watch the whole thing again.
Insert grumpy post about Micro.blog here.
Honestly I don’t have the heart for it. I’m trying to be patient. But the level of friction is very high.
I just want things to work. I don’t want to have to repeatedly report bugs to get them to work. And I want there to be clear and unambiguous documentation and information available.
My soundtrack to 1995. 🎵
This reminds me of kicking about in Northamptonshire with my partner in crime when we were students.
Faith No More are so important to me, and this album might be my favourite. And it’s 30 years old now 🤯
Sunset in the park this evening.. 📹
I’m attempting to post a video that’s hosted elsewhere. Let’s see if it works. 🤞

This is a test post
Testing the more tag in the Micro.blog web editor. <!—more—> Some more text.
My soundtrack to 2008/2009. 🎵
When Seldom Seen Kid came out I became an Elbow fan and delved into their back catalog. At the time, I was busy diving into photography in a really big way. And this album reminds me of wandering around Manchester City centre with my camera and people I met through Flickr.
My soundtrack to a very intense 2022. 🎵
A medicine album that helped me through.
Not right (not right (not right now)))
The narrator struggles with a sense of unreality and seeks to regain a sense of self amidst internal chaos. —🤖
Spring is here in the UK. It’s been beautiful.
Today was the first day this year I didn’t turn the heating on when I woke up. I’ve had all the windows open. And I’m itching to get out into the fresh air.
Also. I have switched the snow off on my blog. If I could change it to blossoms falling I would.
I have been really enjoying processing photos this morning in Lightroom, because they hardly need it.
So, next I’m going to check out the in-camera processing Thing whilst tethered to my computer, and try to match what I did.
“Straight out of camera” is going to have new meaning for me now I think.
