The idea of this personal log is that it’s a social network of one. It’s a collection of thoughts, snaps, and short form posts from life. But also, I post some stuff that I originally posted elsewhere. Like my art, for example.

And a lot of this is then cross-posted to social feeds. These are my Micro.blog and Bluesky profiles.

This log can be followed with a RSS feed reading service, or app. Recommendations below.

Main RSS feeds..

  • Log /log/feed.xml
    • all posts, including XP and HP.
    • XP /xp/feed.xml
      • these posts are cross-posted to social feeds.
    • HP /hp/feed.xml
      • these posts are not sent out to social feeds. But can still be followed on this feed.

Categories XP, and HP are mutually exclusive. So if you follow one of my social feeds, there will be occasional extra stuff on HP. Log category has all posts.

Feeds exist for each category. Just add /feed.xml to the category URL you want to follow and add it to your RSS Reader app/service.

RSS apps

I use a few RSS apps for different purposes. But I’m recommending these as good starting points if you’re unfamiliar with what they are and how they work.

  • Feedly
  • Inoreader
  • NetNewsWire

These are easy to use and there are lots of tutorials out there to help you get started. There are plenty of free apps, so there’s no need to pay unless you want some extra features.

If you use a bookmarking service, it might already include the option to follow blogs or news sites.
